Thanks for stopping by – hope you had a great summer! I love this time of year - still warm and sunny, but with a little crispness in the air mmm...
We’ve been busy here at The Kids Music Underground, finishing up the new CD, which sounds GREAT! ( He said modestly...) In addition to the regular KMU line-up of John, Dan, and Dave, we enlisted the talents of some amazing guest musicians, especially on the several Brazilian-flavored songs ooh : ) We can't wait for everyone to hear it! It's definitely some of the best material I've written so far, for grown-ups or kids. In fact, we think it's a CD that parents will enjoy as much as kids. No really.
We plan on having a 3-4 song free sampler to give away to all our friends and families in time for our return performance headlining the Ghouls-n-Gourds Festival ’08 at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden ( Oct 26 ). Then we'll have the full CD for pre-release holiday purchase. The official release date will be in Jan '09 - and we look forward to playing a big CD release concert then.
In addition to the Ghouls and Gourds concert, John and The Kids Music Underground will be playing the Plymouth Church Yankee Fair on Nov 8 in Brooklyn Heights.
Also, The Kids Music Underground fall music class session began Sept 15 - there are still a few spots open, if you're interested in joining.
